John Annear, Senior Sports Physiotherapist
Qualifications: Dip. App.Sc Radiography 1983. Ba App Sc. Physiotherapy Curtin University 1990, Grad Dip Sports Physiotherapy Curtin University 1994. Experience 24 years.
Achievements: John has played AFL football for 10 years and was Vice Captain of the inaugural West Coast Eagle side. He has worked with the West Coast Eagles as a physiotherapist and conditioning coach. He has also worked with the WAIS cycling team, State athletics, State Football teams and many local sporting clubs. John was the late Luciano Pavarotti’s personal physiotherapist for two years during his world farewell concert. John has also completed eight Ironman triathlons including 2 world championships at the Hawaiian Ironman in 2009, 2010.
KATIE HOLTHAM, SENIOR SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, The University of Nottingham 2011, BSc (Hons) Applied Sport and Exercise Science, Loughborough University 2008.
Achievements: Katie has represented England in Football, captaining sides from Under 15’s to senior level. She has played professionally over the last 10 years in England, USA and Australia (Perth Glory Women 2012). Katie has previously worked with the England Cerebral Palsy Football squads, England School Football squad and at Nottingham University sports Injuy Clinic. Before moving to Perth, Katie spent 3 years working as Head Academy physiotherapist alongside assisting the 1st team at Nottingham Forest Football Club, England.
Linda Cooper, Senior Physiotherapist
Qualifications: B Sc Physiotherapy University of Witwatersrand, South Africa 1981. Experience 32 years.
Achievements: Linda is an experienced physiotherapist in the area of private practice and work related injuries. She has a special interest in aquatic therapy and exercise rehabilitation. This method along with her hands-on approach has enabled Linda to become a highly respected physiotherapist in the area of injury management. Linda also has a keen interest in sports injuries with many years treating athletes from all levels as well as consulting at a boys' school, looking after any injuries sustained by the boys in boarding.
Warren Goes, Senior Physiotherapist
Qualifications: BA of App Sc Physiotherapy Curtin University 1990. Experience 23 years.
Achievements: Warren was a partner and manager of the Goldfields Physiotherapy Services in Kalgoorlie from 1995 until 2008. Warren has had extensive experience working at on-site Injury and Rehabilitation clinics in particular with Inghams Enterprises here in Perth. Warren is a keen cricketer himself and has a special interest in cricket related injuries especially the younger players.
Carly MacFarlane, Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Practitioner
Qualifications: Bachelor of science physio Curtin University 2000. Certificate in orthopaedic manual therapy, Certified Polestar Practitioner. Experience 13 years.
Achievements: After graduating Carly worked in a very busy private practice in Sydney. On returning to Perth she completed a specialist Pilates Polestar program. Carly uses this Pilates strength training approach for people suffering back pain or recover from back surgery. Carly has also developed antenatal and postnatal Pilates programs for expectant and new mums.
Alexia catenacci, physiotherapist and stott pilates instructor
Qualifications: BSc (Physiotherapy) at Curtin University, STOTT Pilates Clinical Instructor, APAM
Experience: Alexia has gained experience in providing both inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services in orthopedics, acute aged care and gerontology, paediatrics, cardiopulmonary, inpatient neurology and musculoskeletal outpatient services. Throughout her physiotherapy career, she has been actively involved with treating various sporting teams, where she founded a particular interest in sports injuries, especially in the field of soccer. Being a STOTT Pilates® Clinical Instructor, Alexia leverages her ability to use diagnostic skills, exercise knowledge, and other treatment techniques from a physiotherapy perspective, to then enhance the recovery and rehabilitation of clients with a wide range of conditions and musculoskeletal injuries.
Amanda Figliomeni, Podiatrist
Delighted for the experienced Amanda Figliomeni to join our team!
Profile: Amanda represented WA in women’s football from 1994-2000. She worked with the inaugural Perth Glory Women’s team in a podiatric and management role, working closely with coaching staff, players and medical team.
Amanda has worked in the northern and greater suburbs in almost every facet of podiatry, including public hospitals, dealing with diabetic assessments, wound management, the elderly and private practice. Vastly experienced in dealing with general care, ingrown toenails, heel pain, sports injuries and biomechanical issues/ analysis. Amanda has a keen interest in trigger point and orthotic therapy.
Amanda is passionate about providing an exceptional level of service, in a caring and professional manner.
Anthony Gurr, Physiotherapist
Qualifications: Masters of Physiotherapy (Curtin University); BSc Human Biology (Curtin University); Clinical Pilates Practitioner (DMA certified); Level 2 Running Coach (Athletics Australia)
Experience: Anthony uses a combination of hands-on treatment, dry needling, exercise therapy (including clinical Pilates) and education to help people recover from a diverse range of musculo-skeletal injuries. Anthony has a keen interest in working with runners and sportspersons to help them reach their goals.
In addition to providing physical therapy and coaching for local sports clubs and running groups, Anthony has experience with post-surgical rehabilitation, treating cervicogenic headaches, diagnosing and managing musculo-skeletal injuries. Anthony also uses clinical Pilates to help improve flexibility and strength and to ease low back pain.
Katelyn BeatoN, Massage Therapist
Qualifications: Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Central Institute of Technology. Diploma of Remedial Massage Australian Institute of Fitness.
Achievements: Kaitlyn is a Remedial Therapist with experience working with athletes in State Track & Field, State Volleyball and Swimming. Not only coming from the sporting background, Kaitlyn also has vast experience in the areas of cancer patients, Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sports, Myofascial Release (MFR), Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF Stretching), Manuel Lymphatic Drainage and more. Kaitlyn has also participated in sports as an athlete representing numerous Track & Field events, Volleyball National Championships along with Australian Volleyball camps.
CRAIG SOLEY, SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPISt & strength coach
Qualifications: BSc. Physiotherapy Curtin University 2004, Graduate Certificate Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Curtin University 2009 Australian Strength & Conditioning Association Level 1 2010.
Achievements: Craig is a karate Shihan (Master), 6th Dan Black Belt, holder of four IKGA Karate World Titles, thirteen National All-Style Titles and captained the Australian team from 1995-2005. Since 2013, he has worked with West Perth Football Club as the head of Physiotherapy and Strength & Conditioning and has worked with National Training Centre (women’s elite soccer) to kick off their preseason for the last 2 years. Craig is currently completing a double masters in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy at Griffith University. Craig was the first Australian to be certified by internationally renown strength coach Mike Boyle and brings over 20 years of coaching and advanced ‘return to play’ experience to the practice.
